RainAnton starts testing at Antoniushof
Our prototype has left the desk and arrived in the field: together with the Antoniushof vegetable farm in Bobenheim-Roxheim, we tested our first 15 RainAnton valves. The farm irrigates with classic pipe irrigation (Perrot system) supplied by diesel suction pumps – exactly the conditions we developed RainAnton for.
Despite a few minor teething problems, farm manager Volker was convinced by the labor and cost savings RainAnton brings him. RainAnton helped him particularly with the irrigation of his carrots. With RainAnton, he was able to significantly shorten the irrigation intervals to 30 minutes. This gave the whole field a more even water supply and reduced the water lost to pure infiltration. Without RainAnton, this would not have been possible.
'RainAnton was especially valuable for us when irrigating our carrots. I can recommend RainAnton to anyone who uses pipe irrigation. You notice the added value especially over long distances to the field.' Volker Hack, Antoniushof in Bobenheim-Roxheim
During our first field tests at Antoniushof, we were able to check the reception in the fields. To ensure mobile coverage even in hard-to-reach areas, we decided to support all German mobile networks. We now have coverage across about 97% of Germany's territory.
We would like to thank the Antoniushof team warmly for agreeing to use and test our RainAnton valves on their farm. We are especially grateful to farm manager Volker for his constructive criticism and his ideas for applications.
